Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of base does a yurt need?
This really depends on how and what you’re using your yurt for.
If the yurt is being used for a few days at a time, a relatively flat base with good drainage will work fine. If it’s being used more permanently then something more substantial, such as decking, would be best.
We can offer advice and will happily undertake the work ourselves. If you’re unsure, we can help you decide on what will best suit your situation.
Can a wood stove be fitted inside the yurt?
Yes, absolutely! Wood stoves are relatively easy to fit and make a great cosy addition, if you want a wood stove fitting, or have some questions, please get in contact.
How long does a yurt take to assemble?
Yurts, once you’ve had a small introduction, are straightforward in their assembly. An able-bodied beginner can put up a 16ft yurt in around 2-3 hours. This time greatly decreases with a couple of extra hands and once familiar can be erected within 2 hours.
Smaller structures are even quicker.
All our yurts come with an instruction on how to put up, take down, store and care for. We’re happy to help and will ensure you’re comfortable handling your new yurt.
